It all began...

... one Saturday morning as we sat in the kitchen, our two daughters, Josephine and Cori dashed past us and out the door. I instantly knew they were up to no good, after all, it was 8am on a weekend. Little did I know, that would be the moment our journey with
leappNINE would be set in motion.

Patricia mentioned they were heading to Brooklyn, though the details were vague, and I didn’t think much of it at the time. Ten hours later, they quietly returned, unable to hide their joy, holding a small, fragile bundle- Molly, a 16-year-old Bombay cat scheduled to be euthanized

the very next day.

​

They had found her online and were moved by her story. She was battling a terrible kidney infection, given only a short time to live, and placed on the euthanasia list due to a lack of space.

​

Not knowing how much time she really had left, they couldn’t bear the thought of her euthanasia when they could give her a home filled with care and comfort.

​

Molly lived for another yearand it was a year that mattered.

​

That day marked the beginning of our family’s commitment to rescuing cats and giving them a second chance. Saving lives became our mission. 

 

That’s why we created leappNINE.
